Carnival and PTA Meeting

TONIGHT March 16

Join us in the cafeteria at 6pm for carnival meeting

Stay afterwards for our monthly general membership PTA meeting 7pm in the cafeteria.

Paper/crayons/coloring and activity books and a few board games (checkers, connect 4) will be there in case you have to bring your children will you.

Carnival –updates on what has been done and still needs to be done, auction donation update, and vendor update.

General Membership – various committees will give an update and will vote on changing length of terms from 2 years to 1 year.

We will be raffling off 2 prize packs that each include a water bottle, a $10 Papa John’s fundraiser card ( various B1G1, $ off purchase order) , 2 Papa John’s certificates for free order of cheese sticks, two weeks of free classes from Martial Arts World, A JRES oval car magnet, and two $5 off online purchase from Papa John's

Rory’s Zoo Crew Ecard Challenge

You can help the school earn money by choosing one of the three healthy choices and sending 10 ecards and for doing this your student will get a zoo crew badge. This is no cost to you, simply send 10 ecards by going to heart.org/jump.

School will earn $100 for gym equipment when there is 10% student participation, $300 when there is 20% student participation. $500 when there is 30% student participation, after that will earn an additional $100 for every additional 10% of students taking the zoo crew challenge.

 

Nominate a teacher for an R.E.B. Award for Teaching Excellence

Know an outstanding teacher who you would like to recognize for her/his work with students? Now is your chance!
 
You can nominate one of our awesome teachers for an R.E.B. Award for Teaching Excellence, and that teacher could win up to a $12,000 cash grant to use for professional development activities. Established in 1988, the R.E.B. Award for Teaching Excellence recognizes public school teachers who distinguish themselves by their inspiring classroom performance. Teachers from Chesterfield County will compete against colleagues from Hanover, Henrico and Richmond for consideration.

We will be raffling off two cerficates for a free game of laser quest with 3 of your friends.

Carnival – our big discussion will be on what food will be provided. We also need a few others to help with various aspects of carnival.

General Membership – various committees will give an update and job descriptions will be available for our open positions for the 2017-2018 school year (next school year)

Making it move is the name of the game in this exciting class! Kids will love to see their creations in motion using the LEGO® Power Functions wireless remote controls.  Students will use challenging LEGO® components to create a dynamic vehicle, machines and more.  All students will build and take home a custom LEGO® mini figure at the end of the session.

Chuck E Chese Spirit Night TONIGHT

Students should come home with a reminder sticker on them this afternoon , wear the sticker to the event and student gets 10 free tokens. A flyer also came home the other day with discounts on it for tonight.
